can Batteries work better in different temperature?
Broad Question
can batteries work in different temperatures?
Specific Question
What is the impact on batteries if they are in a temperature below 0 for a day. Will they work better in a freezer, or in the temperature of a house? 70 degrees.
Hypothesis
The batteries in cold temperatures will not work as long as the pair in warm temperatures.

Variables
Independent Variable:
Dependent Variable: The temperature that the batteries are in.
Variables That Need To Be Controlled: The toy or machine that actually works.
Vocabulary List That Needs Explanation
General Plan
My plan is to see if batterries can work under different temperatures. I'am going to repeat this test for a week. Every day i'm going to leave a pair of batteries in the cold, and a pair inside at regular temperature in a house. Every day I'am going to put batteries in a mic and see witch ones work better.
Potential Problems And Solutions
Safety Or Environmental Concerns
Batteries acid may be hazardous.
may ruin clothes
may ruin other things
Experimental Design
What is your experimental unit?
This is the base unit of your experiment, for example, one plant, one ice cube, one dish. It is the thing you will be measuring.
Number Of Trials:
This is how many times you will repeat the experiment.
Number Of Subjects In Each trial:
This is the number of different treatments you will use. For example, if you are comparing rust formation using salt and no salt, there would be 2 subjects in each trial. If you were comparing rust formation with no salt and three different amounts of salt, then you would have 4 subjects in each trial.
Number of Observations:
How many measurements will you take for each experimental unit times the number or trials

Detailed Procedure
1. Buy sixteen battery's.
2. Split half, and put two in the freezer for 24 hours.
3. once done, use the battery's until dead in the contraption that takes two AAA.
4. Repeat the process eight times and record the days that they lasted.
5. Once done with the cold temperature ones, start with the warm temperature ones.
6. repeat until all dead, and record the data.
7. See witch ones worked better, the cold temperature ones, or the warm temperature ones.

I found out that batteries that are in a cold temperature and warm temperature last the same.
Conclusion
I found out that in the last four weeks of testing battery strength that battery's in a cold temperature lasted about the same as the ones that were in warm weather. They all lasted under three days. The contraption that I used to test uses a lot of battery's to keep running. Usually when I put battery's in it it maybe last's for about a week. Every pair of battery's that I used took about an average of one to three days to wear out. I thought it was interesting battery strength worked and learning more about battery's.
Discussion
In the expeirement I did on battery strength, I found out that battery's in cold temperature and a warm temperature last's about the same. Both temperatures lasted between one and three days. The temperature in the freezer was -21 degrees and the house temperature was 75 degrees.
Benefit to Community and/or Science
Now that I tested batterie strength, sciencetist dont have to test this and now people can use batteries outside wherever they want.
Background Research
I learned that when I did my experiment that batteries in cold temperature, lasted about the same time as the batteries that were in a regular house temperature. This project took four weeks to figure out if batteries last longer in cold weather, or if batteries last longer in warm weather.

Abstract
What is the impact on battery strength? Everybody says that battery's last in any weather. In commercials they say they are so good and they last a long time. So I decided to test battery strength. The first thing I needed to do was buy the battery's. Then find out the temperature in the freezer, and in the house. Then every day until the sixteen battery's run out I have to try to make them die and see how long they last. The results of this experiment came out to be almost the same thing but on different days.
